Sales Director - San Francisco

Dapper is looking to hire an accomplished and experienced Sales Director. As a Sales Director, you will be tasked with identifying advertisers and agencies for whom the Dapper solution best fits, and forging the relationships necessary to turn these opportunities into recurring customers.

Your day-to-day will run from prospecting to approach to closing the deal. You'll be turning sophisticated Dapper technology into strong business cases that may vary from customer to customer, making use of mockups and custom marketing materials, generating proposals, client visits, and follow up. Dapper's unique environment is most conducive to independent and proactive thinkers; initiative is key.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of Dapper's sales plans
  • Develop and expand advertisers/agency relationships and partnerships
  • Develop and maintain strong active relationships with key client stakeholders at both senior and mid-management levels
  • Understand agency, advertiser, and vendor landscapes and trends; who are the major players, how do they buy, from whom; what are the macro and micro forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction
  • Understand and effectively communicate Dapper's value proposition, technology, processes, partnerships as relate to growth of current and prospective client accounts
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the dynamic creative industry and of the biddable media marketplace
  • Conference attendance, industry event attendance and marketing support
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in online advertising either in account management or preferably outbound sales
  • Knowledge of the online media business and underlying technology and research. Experience with advertising agencies a plus
  • Excellent sales skills including the ability to create and build relationships. Demonstrated track record of success and established relationships
  • Strong analytical skills Effective time management skills — ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills; sense of humor a requirement
  • Strong consultative sales skills, personable, charismatic
  • Strong understanding of internet advertising technologies
  • Must be able to travel 10 - 20% of the time (frequent day trips, semi-regular overnights might be required)

Front-End Engineer - San Francisco

Dapper is looking for an exceptional front-end engineer to create dynamic ads and web applications. The role provides an excellent opportunity to shape how content is consumed and distributed on the Internet.

Responsibilities
  • Build Flash AS3 ads and applications
  • Build Javascript-based web interfaces
  • Work closely with product management, interaction designers, and back-end engineers
  • Rapidly fix bugs and solve problems
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience building world-class, consumer facing web application interfaces and/or advertisements
  • Expertise in:
    • Actionscript 3
    • Javascript / Ajax
    • HTML / CSS
    • Java, Python or PHP
  • Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance. Able to work in an agile environment
  • Strong command of web standards, CSS-based design, and web services
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTTP, Apache) and familiarity with Unix/Linux
  • Understanding of interaction design principles
  • Great written communication and documentation abilities
Desired Skills

Software Engineer - Tel Aviv

Dapper is looking for excellent programmers to work on the software's core engine. This involves writing algorithms to reliably extract content from websites, integrating the back-end algorithms with the front-end user interface, working closely with the HTTP protocol, and managing and maintaining the software's source code.
