About Snag
Snag aggregates information from your accounts at various social networks. Instead of having to visit each of your networks separately, you can find friends, read messages, and get updates from all of your networks in one place by using Snag.
Snag was created as an example of the type of web applications that can be created very easily using Dapper. Dapper takes care of logging into the remote websites and pulling back the relevant information (in XML or other formats), so that you can focus on developing your web application.
You might be wondering why...
Snag supports a variety of social networks, but not every Snag feature includes information from each of the supported networks. This is because each social network is different, and in some cases obtaining the relevant information from a specific network was problematic enough that, for Snag's initial release, we omitted that network.
While Snag supports a few of the popular social networks, there are so many more that aren't included here. In developing Snag, we simply chose the networks that we use and know. If there is a network you'd like to see supported, please contact us and we'll work to support it.
